View on mapThe via ferrata on the Rotstock, 260 metres in length, is a route for via ferrata walkers and experienced mountain walkers with a head for heights (and with the right safety equipment). The key to the climb is the vertical section immediately after the start. In the event of snow, strong rain or ice, this is very definitely not a route to be climbed. Like anywhere else on the Eiger, rock-falls cannot be ruled out.
